Dinner Key Marina near Miami Florida is where Jerry's yacht charter
business is located. On Thanksgiving Eve the Custom 67 Sailboat
tied up as shown in Chapter Eight. The Coconut Grove Sailing Club in this
picture is mentioned in chapter Seven where the group flying in the Maule
went for lunch.
This Google Earth Photo was taken from Lazy Way in the Key West Bight Marina.
The catamaran in the photo is similar to the Flying Cat which would have been
tied up in that spot. The bench in front of
the scooters is where Hassan and Randy Winters held their confidential
conversation, in Chapter Twenty.
This catamaran is an Azurite Lagoon 42 which has a similar topside layout to the
Flying Cat, which was more like 55 feet in length. Note the elevated helm position,
the steps in the hull transoms and the swim platform where the Coast Guard rescue
swimmer arrived in Chapter Twenty-eight.
